Love

I'm sure many of you have heard the saying that some people are meant to be in your life for just a season and others are meant to be in your life for a life time. Once you realize who those persons are that are going to be in your life for a lifetime, hold on to them tight and don't let go. You'll know who they are because when the bottom falls out of the sky and it seems no matter where you go, you get rained on, they are always there with an umbrella, a towel, and an inspiring word. It's those people who are willing to show unconditional love we should acknowledge and appreciated most. As for those persons who are only meant to be in your life for a season, receive what it is God is trying to give you through them at that time, whatever lesson it may be, hold on to it, and them let them be on their way.  Acknowledge them and appreciate them as well, but then when the time comes, say the benediction.  Don't kill yourself trying to hold on to a seasonal person.

In the youth girls Bible study class I teach, our lesson last week was "Love". We discussed how we should make an all-out effort to love other as Jesus loved us. 1 Corinthians 13: 4-8 states "Love is patient, love is kind.  It does not envy, it does not boast.  It is not proud.  It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs, Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.  It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.  Love never fails."  So when you go to work or to class tomorrow and you see that person who just rubs you the wrong way or is always looking at you sideways, smile, greet them, and tell them you hope they have a good day or a good evening. (I know how hard it is to do that sometimes, trust me!) Your day will be better for it and if they can not accept your kindness/love, let God deal with that.  You did your part and will be blessed for it.  Love those lifetime people as well as those seasonal people!

"Actions happen in heaven when someone prays on earth."
